A new Gozo Covid-19 testing hub has opened today at the former VIP lounge of the Xewkija heliport.
Minister for Health Chris Fearne has said that with the opening of this hub and another in Luxol, Malta, authorities will be carrying out over 400 swab tests daily, and will continue to “ramp them up.”
Dr Fearne also appealed to the public to follow the directives and instructions that are issued by authorities.
The hub will be open 7-days a week between 8am and 2pm. Anyone experiencing symptoms should ring 111 and not go voluntarily to the hub at Xewkija as it will accept people by appointment only.
The Government has stressed that when attending the testing hub, people should not use public transport or a taxi, or walk.
