In the Thursday update on Covid-19, Supt. of Public Health, Prof Charmaine Gauci, has said that 5 new cases have been registered. This brings the total number to 134.

She advised that 2 were locally transmitted cases and 3 were contracted from travel abroad. Contact tracing is going on for some of the cases.

Gauci added that 4,230 people have been tested for the virus so far.

Most patients have mild symptoms. The 61-year old man who has pneumonia is still receiving treatment in ITU, however Gauci said that he is improving.

14 of the patients are at the IDU in Mater Dei, while 18 are at St Thomas Clinic, the remainder are at home.
