A 39-year-old man was arraigned in the Gozo Court before Magistrate Bridget Scicluna on Monday, accused of arson and causing damage to property.

The man, who is from Victoria, was accused of damaging a property in Triq Patri Anton Debono, Victoria on Saturday afternoon, and causing a person to fear for her safety.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges, but was denied bail by the Court and given preventive detention.

The prosecution was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
