In Monday’s daily briefing on the Covid-19 situation, Supt of Public Health Prof Charmaine Gauci advised that 4 new cases had been reported in the past 24-hours.

3 of these are from the Hal Far Centre, where there is now a total of 38, the Centre remains under lockdown. The remaining case is a 59-year old Maltese man.

Prof Gauci said that there are 431 cases with 302 currently active, and a further 8 patients announced as recovered – with ages ranging from 20s to 70s – making 126 in total. There have been 3 deaths.

The recovered cases will remain under quarantine for the next 14 days.

Prof Gauci said that only 574 swab tests had been carried out on Sunday, adding that the public should contact the authorities if they are experiencing symptoms no mater what the day is.
