With Malta and Gozo now in the eighth week since the first Coronavirus case was first reported on the islands, the National Statistics Office is today publishing an infographic about population dynamics that have been affected, also highlighting some of the impacted sectors.

It said that the data presented comes from different units within the NSO, and also from the Office of the Superintendence of Public Health.

The highest age group with % of total infections was 25-39-year olds at 37%, followed by 40-64-year olds at 33%, the elderly – 65+ was 10%. Of the younger age groups 15-24-year olds were 16% and 0-14-years are 4%.

The data also shows that 60% of those infected were males, with 40% females.
