Professor Aaron Casha becomes 6th person to lose their life to Covid-19

A 53-year-old man has died from Covid-19 overnight at the Mater Dei Hospital, making him the 6th person to lose their life from the virus.
The man has been named as Professor Aaron Casha, a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Resident Academic within the Department of Anatomy.
In a statement, the Ministry for Health said that the man was being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, and had a number of other underlying “chronic medical conditions.” He was tested for Covid-19 on the 9th of May.
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the man’s family, once again renewed its appeal to the public to follow the directives of the Health Department, “because this is the only way we can protect the most vulnerable in the world. our society.”
