“Returning to school for students after Covid-19 is currently being discussed, here are some thoughts I would like toshare.
“Monday to Friday starts at home at 8.00am using Wifi. Then at 9.30am all students leave by bus and private car to traditional school where at 10.00am they go as usual to their respective classrooms. These one and a half hour virtual classes give the traffic time to clear and doesn’t cause congestion. Assemblies could be done on a chosen day of the week.
One parent will work teleworking Monday till Friday from 8am till 9.30 so there will be a parent at home while the children are on virtual schooling. They will finish school in a time where there is not that much traffic.
One day a week alternating, a group of students will stay at home and do a whole day of school by internet (virtual as they are doing now).
The divisions will be chosen by level not by schools so that the number of children on the school buses, therefore on the roads will be less from all sides of the island, e.g. Mondays first half of primary levels will do virtual schooling all 5 hrs. from home etc.”
