Work continues on the resurfacing of an extensive part of the road leading to Xatt l-Ahmar, in Ghajnsielem.

Mayor Kevin Cauchi, said that the road had been in a bad state of repair, but work should be completed this week. Meanwhile, he said there is an alternative road down.

The resurfacing, which started last week, has been welcomed by the local community. The road leads down to a bay which is frequented by divers and anyone wanting a relaxing time by the sea.

Mayor Cauchi thanked Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri for the support, as well as the Construction and Maintenance Unit (CMU) within the Ministry, for the logistics.
