AD has congratulated Vodafone Malta on the publication of its Second Corporate Social Responsibility Report covering the period April 2006 – March 2008.

Carmel Cacopardo AD Spokesperson on Sustainable Development and Local Government said that Vodafone Malta is to be congratulated not only on its publication of a second CSR report but also on the improvement of the quality of its contents and the issues tackled. Whilst there is room for improvement in further editions of Vodafone’s CSR reports AD considers that government should encourage the communications industry in Malta to emulate Vodafone.

Arnold Cassola AD Chairperson stated that Vodafone in Malta together with Bank of Valletta are the only two companies which are publishing their CSR reports. It is necessary that more companies move along the same path. Government should encourage all companies listed in the Stock Exchange to publish their CSR reports thereby increasing the transparency of the business community in Malta.
