Yesterday, the road leading down to Xatt l-Ahmar bay in Ghajnsielem reopened following the completion of resurfacing work on a substantial part of the road.

The Unconsoled Local Council advised that it will also be implementing a one-way traffic system for July through to September – traffic going down the normal road to the bay, but will leave up from St Eliju Belvedere which was also completed a few months ago.

“These are just one some of the measures we have planned in order to continue to improve our bays,” the Council said.

Mayor Kevin Cauchi thanked Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri for the support, as well as the Construction and Maintenance Unit (CMU) within the Ministry, for the logistics, and the Council workers.
