Vodafone Malta Limited employees have donated funds to Dar tal-Providenza, Razzett tal-Hbiberija and Malta Hospice Movement. These contributions were collected through the Vodafone Employee Contribution for Charity Scheme, whereby employees donate an amount from their monthly salaries to charity. This amount also includes donations from the staff Christmas party.

Through this scheme, Vodafone employees may each year select the organisations to which the annual funds collected are donated. Employees select three local organisations from a list provided by Vodafone. Vodafone employees may also suggest a local organisation which is not on the list.

“Through this donation Vodafone would like to show its appreciation to the dedication shown by these associations in their mission. We believe that we should all work together to help those in need in the Maltese community. We hope that our initiative encourages more companies to follow the example,” said Gabriella Cappitta, HR Senior Assistant at Vodafone Malta.

The Eden and Razzett Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Malta that offers an array of health and leisure services, free of charge, to over 1000 persons with a disability. The charity is self-governed and independent from the state or other entity. The charity depends on the generosity of the general public, corporate sponsors and its ability to organise or benefit from regular fundraising activities.

The Malta Hospice Movement is a Voluntary Organisation inspired by Christian values, which exists to provide and promote the highest standards of palliative Care possible for people with cancer or motor neurone disease, and to help and support their families.

Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi cares for people with physical and mental impairments.
