25 donors called at the Centre in Xewkija, Gozo, on Tuesday to make donations and the National Blood Transfusion Service thanked all those who attended.
The Service is once again inviting Gozitans to donate blood during a session on Sunday, the 5th of July, at the Blood Donation Centre in Xewkija, Gozo, between 8:00am and 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).
All donations received will be for the benefit of the many patients who are currently hospitalised in Gozo and Malta.
The donation centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
The Service stressed that due to the Covid-19 situation all necessary measures are being taken to protect anyone who comes to donate blood, as well as the professionals who provide them with a service.
“Blood donors are informed that no swabbing tests are carried out at any stage of the blood donation,” the Service said.
