Covid-19 has changed our lives as we know it – but, as Gozo College Xaghra Primary School explained, “it doesn’t mean that learning stopped.”

During the school’s lockdown, its Year 6 students together with their teachers held several online discussions related to the changes that this pandemic had brought about.

Why write in your diary at a time like this? Well, the school suggested that for one, future historians may look back on diaries being written now by people from all continents, each one of them telling the story of living through the Coronavirus pandemic.

And this is how the idea of Covid-19 diary entries came about for these Year 6 students. They filled their pages with their thoughts and feelings about their experiences of living their life through these difficult times.

Gozo College Xaghra Primary School, said that taken together, these diary entries tell the story of the children’s inner worlds on pause.
