Police have said that a 53-year old Austrian man has died after finding himself in difficulties while diving at Xatt l-Ahmar, in Ghajnsielem, Gozo.
The Police were called to the scene at around 11am on Sunday morning, also in attendance were members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team from the Gozo General Hospital.
The diver had been brought ashore by those with him and medical assistance was given on site, but sadly the man died soon after.
Duty Magistrate Simone Grech has appointed a number of experts to assist with the inquiry.
Police investigations are ongoing.

Investigations the usual story but never any one held accountable. These outlets should be inspected at will cause some of them are playing with peoples lives.
