Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri and Parliamentary Secretary for Equality and Reform Rosianne Cutajar recently met with the LGBTIQ + community of Gozo.

Representatives from the Gozitan organisation gave details on the action plan for the coming year and the priorities for the LGBTIQ community in Gozo.

They also referred to a study that took place last year, the results of which clearly show “that in Gozo LGBTIQ + people find it much more difficult to express their gender and sexuality compared to Malta.”

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said that following discussions on the action plan that had been prepared by the NGO, he looked forward to continuing the work in Gozo “in order to offer more services to the LGBTIQ + community on our own island.”

Parliamentary Secretary Cutajar reiterated the government’s commitment to the LGBTIQ + field and stressed that it will continue to work hard to ensure that the LGBTIQ + community in Gozo continues to receive the necessary attention and support.
