Light of Peace – an illumination in the shape of the dove of peace, has been created for the first time on Ghar Ilma Hill in the village of Santa Lucija, marking the International Day of Peace, which is celebrated every year on the 21st of September.
The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri turned on the Light of Peace, which was organised by the Committee of Ghaqda Nar u Armar 13 ta’ Dicembru Santa Lucija, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo.
`Shaping Peace Together’ is this year’s theme, with the aim of spreading compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the pandemic.
This illuminated dove – a symbol of peace, is visible from many locations in Gozo and can be enjoyed by the public until Sunday, the 4th of October.
