A 90-year old man has died while being positive with Covid-19, he becomes the 29th person to die with the virus.
The Ministry for Health said on Friday that the elderly man tested positive for Covid-19 on the 5th of September and was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the 7th of September. He was then transferred to St Thomas Hospital on the 19th of September, and then back to Mater Dei on the 23rd of September, where he died earlier today.
The Ministry said that the man “was in poor health.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
