There have been 221 new Covid-19 cases found overnight, the highest number since the 16th of July, when 235 were recorded.

153 recoveries were also recorded overnight, this now takes the number of active cases to exactly 1,600.

Authorities advised that there are currently 20 Covid patients who are being treated in hospital, including 3 in ITU. Back on the 16th of July this year when a similar number of new cases were reported, there were 14 patients in hospital, 1 of which was in ITU.

There have been 471 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Health Authorities said that the number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 165,403.
