A 90-year old woman has died while being positive with Covid-19, she is the 40th person to die with the virus.
The Ministry for Health in a statement on Tuesday, said that the woman was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the 30th of August and tested positive for Covid-19 on the 30th of September. She continued to be treated at Mater Dei where she died late last night.
The Ministry said that the woman “had further health conditions.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, continued to reiterate its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
