A 68-year old man has died with Covid-19. He is the 47th person to die with the virus.
The Ministry for Health in a statement on Wednesday, said that the man was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the 27th of September and was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the same day.
He continued to be treated at Mater Dei Hospital’s intensive Therapy Unit, where he passed away earlier today.
The Ministry said the man “had underlying health conditions.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, once again reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
