A 73-year old man has died with Covid-19, he becomes the 53rd victim of the virus.

The Health Ministry, in a statement on Monday, said that the man tested positive for Covid-19 on the 10th of October and was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital 18th of October, where he passed away earlier today.

The Ministry said that the man “suffered from another chronic illness.”

The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, once again reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
