A 70-year old man has died with Covid-19, he becomes the 54th victim of the virus.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Health Ministry said that the man was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the 15th of October and tested positive for Covid-19 on the same day. He continued to be treated at Mater Dei where he passed away yesterday.
The Ministry said that the man “suffered from another chronic illness.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, once again reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
