The National Blood Transfusion Service has said that it would like to thank the 41 people who donated blood in Gozo during the last session.

The Service, as the same time continued to encourage more Gozitans to please consider donating their blood during the next session, which is on Tuesday, the 17th of November.

Donations can be made at the Blood Donation Centre in Xewkija, Gozo, between 1:00pm and 5:00pm (last registration until 5:00pm).

The donation centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.

Anyone currently waiting to take a Covid-19 test, or who has had the test and is waiting for the result, cannot give blood.

The Service stressed that due to the Covid-19 situation all necessary measures are being taken to protect anyone who comes to donate blood, as well as the professionals who provide them with a service.
