A further three people have died while being positive with Covid-19, the Health Ministry has said, with the number of lives lost to the virus now at 101.

The Ministry in a statement on Monday evening said that in the first case, a 78-year-old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on the 2nd of November, passed away yesterday at the Good Samaritan Long Term Care Facility.

The second patient was an 87-year-old man who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the 6th of November and passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.

The third person is a 79-year old man, who confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the 5th of November and also passed away earlier today at Mater Dei.

The Ministry of Health, said that while offering its condolences to the relatives of the families, called on the people to continue to follow the preventive measures; wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
