Mikiel Anton Vassalli College – the network of specialised schools for Art, Music, Dance and Drama – said that it has postponed its graduation ceremony from the traditional mid-November on the day of the inception of the College to the next scholastic year, however MQF Level 5 Graduates will be able to receive their certificate via Blockchain technology.

The Schools, including in Gozo, consulted with students expected to graduate this academic year 2020 and provided two possibilities – to have the graduation planned according to the health authorities guidelines, which would mean that family and friends would not be present for the Performance Ceremony or join next year’s graduates ceremony subject to the Covid-19 situation at the time. Most students preferred the second option, the MAV College said.

It went on to explain that although the graduation ceremony will be held next scholastic year, the students who achieved a higher diploma level (MQF Level 5) in their respective subject of specialisation this year, will still receive their certificate via Blockchain, thanks to the infrastructure the MAV College has in place, enabling students to have their certificate easily accessible from their IT devices online.

The MAV College concluded by saying that the Blockchain certificates are being issued in the coming weeks and both the blockcert and the printed certificate will be stamped with the initial graduation date, that of November 20th, 2020.
