Police have said that a 63-year old man has been found dead in a field in Munxar, Gozo.

The man was found by Police during a search for him at around 9pm on Monday evening.

He had been reported missing earlier in the evening and was found by the Police beneath an overturned tractor in a field in Triq Ras il-Bajjada.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to assist on site, however the man, who was from Munxar, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Magistrate Dr Bridgette Sultana has launched an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
