The next event in The third Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, ‘will be The Art of Longing’ by Soprano Emma Darling, which will take place on Friday, the 1st of May 2009 at the Exhibition Hall, St. Francis Square, Victoria at 8.00pm.

In the choirs previous event on Tuesday, the Animae Gospel Choir, a group made up of three males and six females presented the “Searching for the Soul” concert at the Gharb Basilica of Our Lady of Visitation.

The Basilica was chock full of people, locals and foreign residents, and the singers were very well received. They performed eight gospel songs – mostly American gospel – but one the “Missierna” was in Maltese.

The gospel group received resounding applause at the end of the concert and re-sung the “Missierna” as an encore, they were then given a standing ovation.
