Mary Pizzuto, a resident at the St. Vincent de Paul Facility, is the first elderly person in the country to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

94-year old Pizzuto was administered the vaccine earlier today in the John Paul II ward of the St. Vincent de Paul Facility.94-year old woman is first elderly person to receive Covid-19 vaccineIn a comment, Minister for the Elderly and Active Ageing Michael Farrugia thanked all the frontliners who were, and still are working closely to the elderly, as well as the elderly themselves, wishing them peace, happiness and above all, health.

In addition to Mary, another 40 elderly person will be vaccinated today, as well as 15 staff members of the St. Vincent de Paul Residence.
