Gozo SPCA has advised that they are sadly having to suspend giving out free food for stray cat feeders in Gozo.

They explained that this situation is due to new government legislation on charity shops and public collections, as well as the ongoing decline in donations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gozo SPCA added that those feeders affected should register as a feeder with their local Council if they haven’t already done so, and request food, “the local councils did have the opportunity to apply for a government grant for stray cat food.”
