The Ministry for Gozo has responded to the Opposition’s statement on the administration of the Covid-19 vaccine in Gozo.
The Ministry said that it, together with the Ministry for Health, converted the Gozo Conference & Expo Centre in Victoria, Gozo into a “Leading Vaccination Centre for Gozo.”
In a statement, the Ministry said that “this place has the capacity to accommodate all Gozitans with an extensive vaccination programme.”
The Ministry went on to say that “although this fact has already been stated publicly, even though the Opposition chose to omit it, those teachers who have received an appointment for the vaccine in Malta, will receive a new appointment for Gozo.”
“The fight against Covid-19 should not be a political football, everyone should work for the national interest in a mature and responsible way,” the Ministry said.
The Gozo Ministry did not address the other points raised by Opposition Spokesperson for Gozo Chris Said, which were on contact tracing, testing of swabs and what checks are being carried out on passengers and vehicles crossing on Gozo Channel.

I would like to know when the 75 years of age and over will be getting there vaccine I am getting rather concerned.
I found out today that I am not registered with the health authority as, whilst I have ID and Health Certificate, I have never been to hospital in the 8 years we have been here so they don’t know I exist.I have to go and register.
