The OASI Foundation in Gozo, which for three decades has been assisting those who suffer from drug and alcohol abuse, has received a donation from the HSBC Malta Foundation in renewed support.

The donation will help the Gozo based organisation to continue offering its services free of charge.

OASI, throughout its history, has adopted innovative informal teaching methods to reach hundreds of young people, either to prevent them from developing an addiction or to help them overcome already existing addictions.

“The HSBC Malta Foundation has been supporting OASI’s Youths 4 Youths project since 2013. This project has helped young people in Gozo to socialise with peers through edutainment activities in a healthy and safe learning environment,” said Caroline Buhagiar Klass, Head of Human Resources and Corporate Sustainability at HSBC Malta.

She added that, “the project has been a great success and the HSBC Malta Foundation is very proud to be part of this project.”

Since its foundation in 1991, the OASI Foundation has also continuously raised awareness and promoted a positive mentality through its slogan – Life is beautiful…worth living!
