The Zebbug Local Council said that Mr Nicky Saliba was elected as Mayor for the first time in 2012. ”He served the residents of Zebbug and Marsalforn with integrity, respect and dignity. His sole aim was to work for the well being of the residents and locality.”
”We thank him for his hard work and projects. On behalf of the Council members, staff, executive secretary and constituents we thank him.”
Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri in response to the news, congratulated the Zebbug Local Council for having its first all female, Labour leadership, while also wishing well to the newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
The Gozo Minister, expressed his thanks to former Mayor Nicky Saliba, who, he said, ”has served in this position for many years in an exemplary manner and has always put the interest of residents and locals first and foremost.”

Congratulations and as a resident of Marsalforn since 2013 when I had my Summer residence, I hope that they continue to give importance also to Marsalforn as well as Zebbug and push forward and remind the Government about the building of the breakwater before the coming general elections.
