A new €45,000 multi-sensory room for the Arka Foundation is being financed by the Ministry for Gozo.

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri was present for the agreement signing with the Director of Dar Arka, Fr Michael Galea.

The Arka Foundation offers a service and shelter for the disabled and the Minister noted the number of refurbishment works currently underway in this home in order to be able to offer the best services to its residents who have various disabilities.

“The Ministry for Gozo has always worked to see the strengthening of social justice in this island and therefore never hesitates to be a financial support for foundations and associations such as Dar Arka,” the Minister said.

Director of Dar Arka, Fr Michael Galea, thanked the Ministry for Gozo for once again offering its helping hand to this home. He explained how the multi-sensory room is very important for the therapy process of people with disabilities, as it offers them an interactive, recreational and even educational environment.

Minister Camilleri thanked the management and workers of Dar Arka for all they are doing for the most vulnerable in society.
