Nominations for Malta’s first ever Animal Honours Awards are now being accepted. These awards are organised by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights together with the Commissioner for Animal Welfare Alison Bezzina.

The organisers said that “this is an opportunity to celebrate our four-legged and feathered friends and acknowledge the people involved in all aspects of animal welfare who live it on a daily basis.”

The public are invited you to send in their stories, photos, and videos of their nominees explaining why they deserve to win the category they are nominated for.

Short listed animals and their respective caregivers will be invited along with the nominated people to attend the awards ceremony which will take place on the 4th of October in celebration of World Animal Day.Nomination forms must be in by the 31st of August, to enable the adjudicating board to determine the most deserving animals and people for these 2021 Animal Honours Awards.
