Clean-up event taking place this evening opposite Ta' Pinu ChurchA clean-up event is being held later this afternoon in front of Ta’ Pinu Church, Gharb, Gozo, organised by The Cast-Out Project and a call for volunteers has been issued.

The Gharb Local Council member responsible for public cleansing in the locality, together with a group of local residents will be participating in this event, to keep their village clean.

Gharb Councillor Joseph Mizzi, explained that “Gharb is kept very clean and Local Council workers are very dedicated, Saturdays have also been added to the summer schedule of rubbish collection and the Local Council provides bulky refuse and open-skip services.”

Mr Mizzi added that he is hopeful that more clean-up events will take place in Gharb, especially in the countryside, if there is the need.
