Xewkija man in custody after pleading not guilty to injuring Somali nationalA 21-year-old man from Xewkija, has been arraigned in the Gozo Court today accused of injuring a 27-year old Somali after throwing him in the sea during an argument in Mgarr Harbour.

Police said that he was charged with causing slight injuries, committing voluntary damage and disturbing public peace.

The accused pleaded not guilty, was denied bail and remanded in custody.

Inspector Josef Gauci prosecuted.
