The book – Dun Martin: His Life and Work – has been presented to Education Minister Justyne Caruana by the author Mario Saliba.
Dr Caruana said that this is “a very interesting book that sheds light on the life of Nadur, Gozo, during the time of its former Archpriest Fr Martin Camilleri, and is the result of extensive research by the author Mario Saliba.”
She added that, “I take this opportunity to reiterate my appeal to foster a love of reading. Reading not only builds a solid foundation in education, but broadens our knowledge to everything that happens around us, both now and over time.”
The book was published by the Nadur Parish in collaboration with the Nadur Local Council earlier this year to mark the occasion of the centenary of Archpriest Martin Camilleri’s death.
The 86-page publication contains details about Fr Martin and the village of Nadur 100 years ago, including a collection of photographs and images. The book can be obtained from the Parish Office in Nadur.
