14 new Covid-19 cases have been found overnight with 30 recoveries. Authorities said that during the last 24 hours a 66-year old man has passed away while Covid-19 positive.

5 Covid positive patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, down from 9 yesterday, there are no patients in ITU.

There have been 458 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases in Malta and Gozo is now at 328.

The number of vaccines administered is 824,327 up until yesterday, of which 12,071 are booster doses, the authorities said.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has advised that it will be reporting figures on a weekly basis – every Thursday. As of the 30th of September, it shows the number of cases recorded for Malta is at 37,103 and the number of deaths showing is 457. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 is at 60.25.

The ECDC said that the above data are collected between Monday and Wednesday for the proceeding week.
