A 34-year old motorcyclist has been grievously injured in a traffic accident on Sunday evening in Victoria, Gozo.

The man, who is from Xaghra, was riding a Honda motorbike which was involved in a crash with a Toyota Ractis that was being driven by a 27-year old man, also from Xaghra.

Police said that the accident happened at about 8.45pm in Ewropa Road.

The motorcyclist was taken to Gozo General Hospital where he was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
