The Association of Gozitan Workers in Malta (AGEM) has welcomed Principal Permanent Secretary Mario Cutajar’s statement earlier today, that because of the weather forecast, Gozitan workers working in Malta and who can do their job from home or from remote workspaces in Xewkija, should do so and not travel to Malta on Thursday.

AGEM in a statement, suggested to the authorities concerned that this work practice from Xewkija should be implemented on a study basis and be offered to civil servants who can do their work from outside their office in Malta.

“This pilot project should be studied by the Authorities concerned, in particular its feasibility as a measure offered throughout the year in connection with the new remote working policy recently launched by the government,” it said.
