When GO announced the winners of its latest competition marking the opening of its newly refurbished retail outlet in Victoria, one young shopper had good reason to thank her lucky stars. Jessica Vella from Victoria won a Philips 42″ inch flat screen TV and DVD, while five other customers won a mobile phone.

GO teamed up with Doneo Co Ltd, TV distributors for Philips in Malta. The competition was the focal point of activities marking the opening of GO’s new refurbished retail outlet in Republic Street, Victoria Gozo offering customers mobile, fixed phone, internet and tv services – all from under one roof. This outlet was recently extensively refurbished and modernised bringing it in line with GO’s quad-play image.

The lucky first-prize winner said she was thrilled with her new Philips 42″ flat screen which has a full range of features including 3 HDMI connections, a powerful 768p, 50Hz display and brilliant Digital crystal clear engine. She also won a Philips DVD player with unlimited features such as Hi-speed USB 2.0 link and flawless true-to-life picture quality.

“This competition further underpins GO’s ongoing drive towards maintaining high levels of customer experience at the same time giving its customers the most efficient service in the market at unbeatable value-for-money rates. We are extremely proud of our very loyal customers who have been with us for a long time, and who continue to rely on our services,” said Maria Grima, GO retail area manager for Gozo.

“The competition is yet another of our customer-driven initiatives aimed to thank all existing customers for their loyalty – this time specifically those residing on the island of Gozo,” she concluded.

During a presentation held at the newly refurbished outlet in Victoria, the winners thanked GO for organising the competition and Doneo for supporting GO and supplying great gifts.

As a result of a major upgrade in the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV) transmission system located at the multi-function telecommunications tower in Nadur, Gozo, GO’s DTTV coverage in Gozo has been hugely enhanced and now extends to practically all parts of Gozo.
