The Health Ministry announced that it has begun the process to include – Pembrolizumab, as a treatment for triple negative breast cancer.

In a statement, the Ministry said the process to include this treatment for this type of cancer started immediately after it was certified by the European Medicines Authority (EMA) on the 19th of October.

Since 2017 about 17 new cancer medicines have started to be given for free on the Government formulary and over 500 patients a year are benefiting from these medicines, the Ministry said.
