The twelfth edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem will be inaugurated on Saturday, the 18th of December at 2pm, after a 2-year absence, by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri.

This year it will be a special “walk-thru” edition of the nativity village, which is spread over 25,000sqm of land at Ta’ Passi Fields, where visitors can experience the greatest story ever told.

The visit will last around 30 minutes, and the opening days are on the 18th, 19,th, 26th, 27th, and 28th of December, and the 1st and 2nd of January. To book your visit please click here.

Visitors will be requested to book their entrance online, whilst a Vaccine certificate will be required upon entrance (under 12 years not required to present certificate however booking is still necessary).

The Ghajnsielem Christmas Tree, located in the centre of the village and which was set up last year, has been classified as one of the “best and most beautiful in Europe” according to the popular website – European Best Destinations.

The tree, which stands 62 feet tall, is made from an iron structure and covered with over 4500 glass bottles that were given by people from the locality.

Another feature of Christmas in Ghajnsielem are the decorations which can be seen in the heart of the village as well as around and about the locality. Santa’s House will also be one of the main attractions for families.

Ghajnsielem Local Council said that ”all these attractions were carried out by the Ghajnsielem Local Council with the financial support of the Ministry for Gozo and the Local Government, with the participation of the Council staff, various volunteers and contractors.”
