The San Lawrenz Local Council, in an effort to reduce the use of private cars in the village, launched a campaign in February, encouraging children to walk to and from the Primary School.

The campaign is also part of the build up for the #EuorpeanMobilityWeek to be held next September.

This week Mayor Noel Formosa, during a visit to San Lawrenz Primary, distributed gifts to the children who had walked to school the most during the months of April, May and June.

Mayor Formosa said that the Council continues to encourage more people to use cars less.
