Heritage Malta said that numerous ethnographic objects are currently undergoing conservation treatment at its labs, in preparation for eventual display at the new Gozo Museum in Victoria.
The metal bucket shown in the photograph forms part of the Gozo collections, and was used to collect goat’s or sheep’s milk during milking.
Heritage Malta explained that this particular object will form part of a bigger story focusing on the daily life of the Gozitans in earlier times.
It said that the Gozo Museum will see the establishment of an interdisciplinary museum for Gozo which will put together the amazing story of the island under one roof.
