HSBC Malta has advised that it is re-introducing a temporary Minimum Cash Withdrawal policy in its branches.
The Bank said that this decision has been taken following the recent sharp increase in Covid-19 cases and will reduce the amount of times customers need to visit their branches thus reducing unnecessary queueing and contact.
Therefore, with immediate effect:
Customers can only withdraw cash from branch tellers from a minimum of €500 upwards
Customers needing to withdraw less than €500 must use the ATMs
HSBC said that customers who do not own a debit card will be allowed to make a one-time withdrawal at the teller but will also be requested to apply for a debit card – https://grp.hsbc/6188J25Wo which will be necessary to make future withdrawals through the ATM. Branch personnel will be available to provide support as needed.
The Bank is also encouraging its customers to book an appointment in advance should you need to visit one of their branches to discuss any borrowing or wealth management needs. Call the Contact Centre for any queries related to your account.
Please visit https://grp.hsbc/6189J25WU to book an appointment online, or for further information, please contact HSBC Malta’s Contact Centre on 2380 2380.
HSBC Malta thanked customers for their cooperation, and reminded them that the majority of our services can be availed of by using our Credit & Debit Cards, Online Banking, Mobile app, ATM and Deposit Machine services.
