The President of Puttinu Cares and beloved Consultant Dr Victor Calvagna has passed away, the foundation announced on Tuesday afternoon.
In a post on social media, Puttinu Cares described Dr Calvagna as a ”humble man who gave his whole life to the sick children and parents whom he loved so much.”
”He taught us how to be of service to others without expecting anything in return,” the Foundation said. ”Thank you for the beautiful examples and values you have nurtured in us. We will never forget you and we will love you forever.”
Puttinu Cares expressed its condolences to Dr Calvagna’s wife Carmen, his children Francesca and Rebecca, as well as all his family and friends.
Details of the celebration of his life will be given later.
Dr Calvagna, who was the President and founder of Puttinu Cares, was hit by a car while out running in Qawra last week, sustaining critical injuries.
