Three men aged 77, 87 and 88 and an 86-year old woman have passed away during the last 24-hours while Covid positive, Authorities have said.

There were 673 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 1,179 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 13,104.

There are 116 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only hospital being reported) including 9 who are in ITU.

Authorities said there have been 496 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 288,561.
