Three men, aged 80, 83 and 86 and two women aged 84 and 87, have passed away in the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities have said.

There were 195 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 310 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 2,555.

There are 86 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only hospital being reported) including 6 who are in ITU.

There have been 565 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday have not been updated and is still showing 333,738.
