A 29-year-old Polish motorcyclist has been hospitalised after he was involved in a collision with a car in Triq Frangisk Portelli, Gharb.

Police said that the collision happened at around 7am on Saturday morning, between a Toyota Dyna, being driven by a 64-year old man from Gharb, and a Yamaha motorcycle being ridden by the Polish man who is from Xewkija.

The injured man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he later was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
